Dr. Baker is a native of Montreal,(Quebec), Canada and received her veterinary degree in 1998 from the University of Montreal College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Baker did an internship and 3-year residency program at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Baker joined Whitney Veterinary Hospital as a veterinarian on October 1, 2002.

Dr. Baker is a member of the following professional organizations: American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Baker has special professional interests in cytology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, feline behavior, and infectious diseases of dogs and cats.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, camping, fishing and traveling abroad. She lives in a Peoria suburb with her daughter Madelyne, son Tristin, dog named Faith, and their two cats - Jabba and Seyma.
