Whitney Veterinary Hospital and Cat Care Clinic Veterinary Technicians
Veterinary technicians are the nurses of the pet world. Their jobs mirror that of human nurses in hospitals and doctor's offices. Their tasks include client education, assisting the doctor, taking x-rays, drawing blood samples, starting IVs, assisting in surgery, anesthesia, dental care and much more.
Bunny
Bunny is a 2001 graduate of Parkland College where she received her Certification in Veterinary Technology. She joined Whitney Veterinary Hospital in 2001. She enjoys many aspects of her job, including ultrasonagraphy, radiology, behavior problems and other patient care.
Bunny enjoys gardening, home maintenance and bass fishing. She shares her home with her German Shepherd named Ziva, a Corgi named Taylor, 3 cats and a rescued Mixed Breed named Lanie.
Erika
Erika joined us in 2004. "I appreciate the opportunity I have had to work here at WVH. I have worked in a Veterinary Clinic in the past as a receptionist and I am grateful for the doctors and other technicians for training me and letting me have this great experience of learning in such a knowledgeable and professional environment."
Erika attended classes online in a veterinary technology program through Cedar Valley College in Dallas, Tx. She also attended ICC for certification in massage therapy.
She worked for a pet-sitting company for 7 years, and she served in the Illinois Army National Guard and Ready Reserve as an Administrative Specialist for 8 years.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs, fishing, camping, biking, running and rollerblading. She enjoys music and spending time with family and friends. Her pets consist of lots of fish, 2 cats Chewie & Miles, 2 bearded dragons, Rottweilers Harley and Frog, and JoJo, the Basset Hound.

Lori
Lori has been working at Whitney's since the summer of 1996. She graduated from Parkland College as a Certified Veterinary Technician in May of 1997. After graduating, she continued her schooling with a degree in Business.
Lori shares her home with her husband, Mack, their cat, Smudge, and their dog Shelton. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, music, painting, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Rachel
Rachel first worked at Whitney's from 1994 to 1997 as a kennel attendant. She graduated from Parkland in 1998 as a certified Veterinary Technician and joined us in 1999 as a technician. She enjoys client education & lab work. She and her husband live in Morton with their son and daughter. She and her family enjoy spending time with friends, working in the yard, playing softball, fishing and swimming.

Jill B.
Jill joined us in May of 2005 and is a 2005 graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Parkland College. She has always loved animals and has had many as she was growing up. Jill has a special interest in Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Denistry.
Jill shares her home with her husband Adam, their son Austin, a Shih tzu named Sparkle and a golden retriever, named Chesney. Jill enjoys reading, playing with Austin, Sparkle and Chesney, boating and shopping.
Stacey
Stacey joined our practice in May of 2008, after graduation from Parkland College as a certified veterinary technician. She had spent the previous summer with us as a technician student.
Stacey has a special interest in orthopedic rehabilitation & dermatology. Stacey shares her home with her boyfriend Jessie, a Siamese cat named Toby, a ferret named Wiley James, & a German Shorthaired Pointer named Riot.

Jill C.
Jill C. graduated from the Parkland College of Veterinary Technology Program in 1995 and began working at Whitney's. She enjoys client relations and patient care. Jill works Fridays and Saturdays. She and her husband live in Chillicothe with their 2 sons and a daughter. They have two Dobermans, and several rescued cats.
Nancy 
Nancy has joined our staff this year. She is responsible for the maintenance and sterilization of our surgical equipment.
