Barb

Barb, our Practice ManagerBarb is our Practice Manager. Her purpose is to see that the business part of the practice runs well, thus allowing the doctors to do what they love best - caring for our patients both medically and surgically.

Barb came to Whitneys in 1985 with a background in accounting to do the payroll. Her responsibilities have evolved and changed many times since then. She was the office manager for 11 years and has been the practice manager since 1999. Our affiliation with the AAHA has made it possible for her to attend many AAHA management meetings as well as 3 sections of the Veterinary Management Institute at Purdue University. She is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and a management member of AAHA. The high standards of AAHA are very important to her.

Barb's days are filled with a variety of responsibilities ranging from scheduling to budgeting, maintenance to marketing and keeping the computer system functional and updated. While Barb has been with us, our practice has grown from one doctor to 4 and from 4 staff members to a staff of 18. We continue to grow and to look for new and better ways to serve our patients and clients. Barb loves problem solving and has many opportunities to do so.

She loves to travel, read and spend time with her husband and son. She has taken drawing classes, is a member of an investment club and teaches an adult Sunday school class at her church.
