*--If you don't have enough wheat flour, substitute with a little rye flour. Be sure to get the bone meal at a health food store. The kind that you put on the garden is bad for your dog. Mix the liquid ingredients together. Then add the dry ingredients, a little at a time so the mixer doesn't throw it all over the counter. No sense having a big mess to clean up afterward. This is a really stiff dough, so it may take some serious mixing.
Spread a clean dishtowel or waxed paper on the counter. Sprinkle it with some corn meal. If you want to cut it into shapes with a cookie cutter, that's fine. I find that Jazzy doesn't care, so I just cut all of it into 1/2" squares with a pizza cutter. Then I use a spatula to lift about a dozen at a time onto the cookie sheet & separate them a little with my finger. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 20 minutes. Move them onto another clean dish towel and let cool. If you only have one sheet of cookies, you can just turn the oven off and let them cool in the oven. I usually have about 1 1/2 to 2 sheets, depending on how thin I roll them out. Store in an airtight container If you do a lot of dog training and sometimes hold the treat in your mouth, these taste a lot like graham crackers. They aren't really sweet.
