Himalayan

Leo is a Himalayan!

Himalayan's are a cross between Persians and Siamese. The result was a cat with the luxurious coat of the Persian and the color pattern of the Siamese. The stocky Persian is usually described as the quietest and least active of cats. This interested "observer" is the cat most likely to accept other cats into its home. It weighs between 8 and 15 pounds, with heavy coats that can be any of a multitude of colors and large expressive eyes on a fore-shortened face. The Siamese is the most "chatty" of the cat breeds and originated in Thailand over 500 years ago where they were revered by Buddhist monks. It came to America around 1850.

These 8 to 15 pound cats are normally calm and friendly. The accepted coat colors are: Blue, Chocolate, cream, Lilac, Red, Seal, Blue-cream, Chocolate-tortie, Lilac-cream and Tortie. All of them require daily brushing and grooming!

They are a relaxed and outgoing companion.

We are pleased to welcome Leo to our practice!
