Guage is an Jack Russell Terrier!
Most Jack Russells descend from a single dog named Trump that was owned by a parson named John Russell. John Russell was a fox-hunting enthusiast who bred to develop a successful line of dogs to follow the fox in the 1800s.
These dogs were originally recognized in the US as Jack Russell Terriers, but had their name changed by the AKC in 2003 to the Parson Russell Terrier in an effort to standardize the name.
This 14” bundle of energy needs an active family with a good sense of humor. It thrives on action and adventure. It is very playful and intelligent and gets along well with children.
This dog will do best with a lot of mental and physical stimulation – every day! It needs a home with a yard, however, it will dig and some have gotten themselves into trouble and needed to be dug out. The coat needs very little care.
We are pleased to welcome Guage to our practice!
