Cassie is a Great Pyrenees! The Great Pyrenees is a member of the working dog group. Their linage can be traced back to around 10,000 BC and the large, white herding dogs of the nomadic shepherds in Asia. Around 3000 BC they were brought into Europe and down into France where they were used to guard fortresses and castles. They came to America in the early 1800’s and has earned a reputation as a reliable guardian of livestock, particularly sheep. We are pleased to welcome Cassie to our practice! |
