Hallie is a Beagle!
Beagles originated around 1300 in England. The early Beagles were as small as 8", carried in pockets and used to hunt rabbits. The hunter frequently had to help them through rough fields.
This is one of the most amiable hounds, as they were bred to hunt in packs. It craves companionship - canine or human! At 30 pounds and less than 13 inches tall, it is gentle and patient with children, and given enough exercise, is a good house pet.
