Scruffy is a Pekachon!
A Pekachon is a cross between a Pekingese and a Bichon Frise.
The typical Pekingese stands 6-9 inches tall while the Bichon is 9-12 inches. Both have about the same adult weight.
While both have double coats, the Pekingese top hair is straight and long and the Bichon's is tightly curled. Both of these breeds need frequent grooming and are unsuited for outdoor life.
The Pekingese is a bold, courageous watchdog around the home, while the Bichon is playful and happy-go-lucky. It's affectionate, playful and eager to cuddle.
