Neige is a Bichon Frise!
These little darlings originated around the Mediterranean. Their ancestors date back to the Tenerife on the Canary Islands and they've been around since ancient times. They were popular with the ruling classes of Italy and France until they fell out of favor. It became a common street dog until their ability to perform and do tricks made them favorites of organ grinders and street merchants.
This perky, playful pups' happy-go-lucky attitude and friendliness toward strangers and other pets has made it the #26 dog in the United States.
The adults usually stand under 12 inches and weigh less than 15 lbs. This active little dog needs daily exercise, monthly trimming and regular brushing and combing.
