We have a full-time surgical technician to take care of the assembly and sterilization of all of our surgical equipment. |

Our doctors always have at least one technician with them in surgery. If the surgery is a fracture or other more complicated surgery, it is not uncommon for 2 doctors and as many as 4 certified technicians to be involved. If it is a caesarean section, each puppy will be designated one technician to "rub puppies" and clear throats and air channels. We always have a technician dedicated to monitoring heart rate and breathing. You can just make out her sleeve at the lower left of the picture.
