Indoor Birds

Canaries come from an island off the coast of Africa - the Canary Islands. Cockatiels are originally from Australia, and parrots are from the South sea islands.

With the wide variety of bird types and sizes, it's easy to understand that there is also quite a varience in their living requirements. Some birds sing and some do tricks and play on "bird toys". All will need a cage to live in, but most can become tame enough to enjoy being handled.

Pet birds can range from a few ounces to several ounces for a parrot. Cage size will be dependent on the variety and size of your pet.

Most apartments, homes and classrooms will be able to find space to make a home for one of these cheerful, colorful pets.
