Zoey

A K-E apparatus

Zoey, a 6 month old bloodhound, sustained a severe injury to her face. The accident fractured (broke) her upper and lower jaws into many pieces.

In order to allow Zoey to heal and still be able to eat and have a normal life, a K-E apparatus (external fixator) was placed on Zoey's upper jaw (muzzle).

The pins go into the bone (Through the skin) and bars are attached to the pins to give support.

The lower jaw was wired and pinned to repair it.
